I have my collection of the series bound in two customized hardcover volumes, if you'd like an indication about how much I enjoy Sandman Mystery Theatre. And I need Absolute Sandman volume 5, because it collects this mini. It's a story so pivotal that it showed up in both the first and second Sandman trade paperbacks in their original printings, and it still shows up on multiple occasions, like in both Absolute Sandman Vol. Then, my dad went out and bought Absolute Sandman Volume II. I read my first one a few months ago. I was surprised of how good it was. 9: THE KINDLY ONES TP NEW EDITION (FEB120298) (2nd printing); THE ABSOLUTE SANDMAN VOL. It's going to go on one of the tall shelves in the library right next to the slip-covered, leather-bound and equally gorgeous Absolute Sandman volumes. My dad started reading Neil Gaiman's Sandman ages ago. But the series did have very little connection to the Neil Gaiman Sandman series from which it ostensibly sprung.
